Karmarkar Shilpalaya

The famous sculptor Late Mr. Nanasaheb Karmarkar's work is displayed in his own bunglow now renowned as Karmakar Shilpalay. This Museum is just 300 meters away from Sachu's Resort. Entry fee to this Museum is just Rs. 5/-. Capturing photographs and videos is allowed with the fees of Rs.10 and 50 respectively.

Sasawane Beach

Khanderi Fort

Khanderi fort, approximatly 3 kms into the sea from Thal beach, which is 5 kms from Alibag, this fort was built in 1678 on a small island. Later, a light house was erected. This fort was for long under the Angre's control. Today it is under Bombay port trust administration. With their permission, you can visit the fort in local boats.

Kankeshwar Temple

Popular as Shiva temple, at a distance of about 13 km from Alibag is the Kanakeshwar Devasthan Temple, located on a hill at an altitude of 900 feet. This ancient temple was built by Raja Ramdeorai Yadav.

Kolaba Killa

Situated amidst the Sea and surrounded by Arabian Sea, Kolaba Fort is one of the most top tourist attractions in Alibag. It is a 300- year old fort which was a naval station during the regime of Shivaji Maharaj. One can reach here just by just 10 min walk during the low tide, but during high tide boat must be hired!
